The Revue de Diplomatie Asymétrique is a scholarly journal devoted to the study of diplomatic strategies deployed within unequal power relations. It analyzes how small states, postcolonial states, Global South societies, regional organizations, diasporas and other actors with limited resources devise strategies of negotiation, influence, coalition-building, mediation and interest defense on the international stage.

Its editorial line favors rigorous, interdisciplinary and comparative work drawn from international relations, political science, international law, diplomatic history, geopolitics and postcolonial studies. The journal is particularly interested in the uses of multilateralism, law, and public, cultural, digital, economic and diasporic diplomacy as instruments of action within asymmetric power relations.

Its aim is to renew the analysis of diplomacy by highlighting the agency of actors traditionally seen as peripheral or vulnerable. The journal thus offers a space for scholarly reflection on the forms of sovereignty, recognition, cooperation and resistance that help transform, circumvent or rebalance the hierarchies of the international order.

Every text submitted by an outside author undergoes blind peer review by specialists in the relevant field before publication.
